Products Wetdeck® Grating Swimplex owns the trademark "WET DECK". The grating is available in longitudinal and transverse design and is made from UV stabilised polypropylene in a range of colours and sizes. It has excellent wave breaking ability and easy end to end interlocking system in tile configuration. Download the Grate brochure(pdf)here. Lane ropes Swimplex is a market leader in the supply of lane ropes and accessories and they are available through distributors in each state. Each lane rope is made from the following components: DISC Material is polypropylene. Product name is T7609PTU and contains two stabilisers. Add rate is 2% giving 0.4% in the final product. One is a light absorber that has excellent chemical resistance and is necessary due to the exposure to chlorine but has less strength than the second UV stabiliser. The second stabiliser has a lot of strength but can be affected by chlorine. The formula is expected to provide an average life cycle expectancy exceeding 3 years but is subject to a number of other intervening factors. Standard colours are: white, royal blue, green, yellow, red and black. Other colours can be made eg: to suit a school provided we get a sample or master batch number. WIRE 49 strand 304 grade stainless steel 3.2mmØ. Every roll is proof tested and certified. If certification is a requirement of the specification then we need to be notified to log the details when the order is processed. The MBL (minimum breaking load) is 652kN or 652 kilograms. Fitments All are 304 stainless steel. S hook is 6mm. Duplex or "gripple" can take wire up to 3.2mm. TENSIONER Cover is moulded black HDPE (high density polyethylene) with ribs for extra grip and comfort. Barrel is 304 stainless steel with brass ferrule. To attach the wire the handle is simply forced along the stainless steel barrel which allows access to the duplex clamp. When attached the handle is repositioned to hide the clamp and wire end. Designed by Swimplex to customer demands for a starting platform which is simple, compact and with a striking appearance. Materials are mirror finished 316 grade stainless steel pedestal and back stroke handle and a high quality FRP top available in white or pale blue with black numbers all sides. SX750 Removable allows the pool deck to be cleared of all obstructions when starting blocks are not required. All that is left deckside is standard flush stainless steel deck sockets. The tensioning device enables pool attendants to securely lock the platforms into position yet easily remove them as necessary. As with all our starting platforms the materials are of the highest quality for prolonged use in the harsh environment of commercial swimming pools. The platform top is the same as the SX2000 and the frame is mirror finish 316 stainless steel. For installation of the SX750 we recommend the frame be in the deck sockets (core drilled or block out) to ensure proper alignment. | | | SX220 is a neat solidly built fibreglass platform with a high level of finish. The platform has an inspection port at the rear to provide access to the mounting bolts. The 316 grade stainless steel backstroke handle is curved and rounded for safety and comfort. Our lowest priced model the SX220 is strong robust and suited to all applications requiring an attractive moderately priced starting platform.
| SX-220 The SX 220 is a competitively priced durable attractive starting platform manufactured in Australia to FINA requirements from FPR with a Stainless Steel backstroke handle. The starting surface is non-slip, and the platform is numbered on 4 sides, and is available in a range of colours to suit your pool. | | SX-2000 The SX-2000 starting platform is a modern high quality starting platform from 316 grade highly buffed stainless steel. It has a non-slip surface, is numbered on 4 sides, and features stylish appearance which will enhance the look of any pool. The SX-2000 conforms to FINA Standards. | | Sx-750 REMOVABLE As the name implies this is a quality removable sturdy starting platform. The platform is manufactured from FRP with a 316 stainless steel frame. It is numbered on 4 sides with a horizontal backstroke start grip. The platform simply inserts into standard deck sockets and is tensioned by a patented rubber tensioning device. The diagram shows a machined anchor and jig plate which is available to ensure perfect alignment. | | STARTING PLATFORM NO DIVE CAP Manufactured by Swimplex Aquatics in response to industry safety demands for control of non supervised dive entries. The block top is pyramidal in shape and simply slips over the top of the existing starting platform thereby preventing use. THERMAL BLANKETS AND ROLLERS DESIGN CRITERIA & TECHNICAL DETAILS When heated pools are left uncovered, the water temperature can drop by as much as 6 degrees C overnight. User experience indicates that the Swimplex thermal blanket reduces this drop to approximately 1 degree or less. By reducing these losses you create a more comfortable environment for bathers which can result in increased patronage. The exceptional insulation and strength properties of the Swimplex pool blanket are a result of its unique flame bonded multi layer construction. Insulation is provided by a closed cross-linked PE foam one of the best insulating materials available. For added strength and protection the foam is sandwiched between a tough, UV stabilised woven Polyethylene fabric and a black UV Stabilised PE film. Fabrics are waterproof, non-toxic and chemically resistant. That consists of a flexible weighted rope contained in a UV stabilised polyester webbing double stitched the full length of the blanket edge. The webbing itself is heavier than water and when combined with the weighted rope it hangs down causing partial submersion of the blanket outer edge, preventing wind lift and drifting into scum gutters or onto wetdecks. METHOD OF OPERATION The Swimplex blanket methods of operation are simple yet quite effective. To deploy the blanket the roller is positioned at the edge of the pool a haul cord is connected to the leading edge of the blanket. The operator then pulls on the haul cord causing the blanket to unroll off the roller and float on the pool water surface, using the haul cord the operator can then manoeuvre the blanket into position. Method of blanket removal and operation of the heavy-duty roller. The heavy duty roller is fitted with large hand wheels each end to remove the blanket the operator simply turns the hand wheels which causes the blanket to retract. If two blankets are to be stored on one roller, the operator must fully retract the first blanket then attach the trailing edge of the second blanket to the leading edge of the first blanket with the toggle system that is provided. DETAILS OF REEL AND FRAMES Roller frames, hand wheels and crank handles are 316 stainless steel. Roller drums are made from a high-grade anodised aluminium tube. Shaft is stainless steel. Bearing: Stainless steel housing, acetal bearing. Wheel polypropylene hub & polyurethane tyre, stainless steel swivel castor with brake. ADVANTAGES OF FOAM SANDWICH BLANKETS OVER AIR BUBBLE TYPE.
The foam sandwich blanket has a better thermal coefficient value than the air bubble- type resulting in better heat retention performance. The foam blanket has a slick under side which allows it float on and off the pool without carrying excess water. This allows the blanket to be deployed and retracted with greater ease. It is not critical that the foam blanket be stored under cover. As it is not transparent it will not over heat like the air bubble type when left stored on the roller in direct sunlight. LIFE EXPECTANCY OF COMPONENTS It is estimate that the life expectancy of the components will be as follows. • Blankets 5 - 10 years • Rollers 15 years. SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION TIME The supply and installation time can be expected to be 3 - 5 weeks from placement of order. Transthermal Blankets & Rollers(jpg) WATER FEATURES Add sight, sound and movement to your pool. Water features are a sure fired way of promoting fun and relaxation. Whether is be a river ride, a wave pool, or a series of water cannons, the inclusion of carefully planned water features can create a water experience that has wide appeal to bathers of all ages. |
